Score and Parts
The twelve duets with the KV number 487 by W.A.MOZART belong to the most popular pieces in competitions, but are also very popular with concerts in the context of music school. Why is that? Quite simply: Mozart quotes in 12 short passages all the tempi and clichés, without even once slipping into the mundane.
Everything sounds simple and yet it's not child's play, because as the saying goes: one note played wrong and it's not Mozart anymore. In addition there are high demands concerning the intonation and so these really nice 12 duets are also ideal material for saxophonists to practice - and of course for chamber music or youth music!
