Score and Parts
The cantata 147 by Johann Sebastian Bach (* March 21, 1685 in Eisenach; died July 28, 1750 in Leipzig) was composed in the form known today for July 2, 1723. The final chorus "Jesus stays my joy" from this popular cantata is available here for saxophone quartet. All voices can also be chorus-filled to give the work even more acoustic volume. Since pretty much everyone knows and appreciates this composition, it is perfect for the stage.
